Description

This qualification will provide skills and knowledge for those wanting to work as a motorcycle riding instructor.

Purpose

This qualification includes the performance of a broad range of skilled applications including requirements to evaluate and analyse current practices; to develop new criteria and procedures for performing current practices; and to provide some leadership and guidance to others in applying skills and planning skill development.

Duration

We Train QLD are offering this course both full-time face to face as well as an online option with a 1 day face to face practical component however it is competency based, therefore completion times may vary depending on your skills, knowledge and or goals.

  • Deposit: $1000.00 AUD paid by Student (upfront payment)
  • Course Fee Installment 2 (paid prior to start of course): $1000.00 AUD paid by Student
  • Course Fee Installment 3 (paid prior to completion of course): $1000.00 AUD paid by Student

The qualification consists of clustered units.

Entry Requirements

What you need to complete this course:

  • A full motorcycle licence, with a good driving record
  • A positive attitude towards safe riding
  • An average or above literacy level for reading, writing and oral communication
Assessment Requirements

During the course you will be required to participate in practical riding activities, undertake self-paced studies, complete non-supervised assessments and plan/deliver a number of training sessions in a classroom and simulated workplace environment

Materials or Equipment Required

We Train QLD will provide the following;

  • Registered, roadworthy motorcycle (if required)
  • Helmet that complies with the Australian Standards (AS/NZS1698 or AS1698, or ECE-22.05) (if required)
  • Suitable protective riding apparel such as jacket and gloves
  • All learning materials including learner guides, stationary such as notepads and pens

Students will need to bring:

  • Laptop or printed course book
  • Long pants and suitable closed in footwear for riding activities and assessments

*Students that wish to bring their own motorcycle & helmet must ensure that they meet all required standards*

Additional Information

This qualification is a Nationally Recognised Qualification and can be completed in any state or territory however the theory and practical activities and or assessments have been designed to be compliant with Department of Queensland Transport and Main Roads.
